Secured routes are not continually secured with steel ropes and therefore marked as difficult/black mountain paths. Good balance and freeness of vertigo is required in any case. We recommend that inexperienced mountaineers take a climbing harness and climbing sets. Due to the danger of rock fall, we also recommend helmets!
The Wilder Kaiser beckons with very attractive landscapes and interesting paths, such as the Jubiläumssteig that leads through the "Wild Castle” and is a true landscape highlight. The Gamsängersteig leads onto the highest summit in the Wilder Kaiser, the Ellmauer Halt at 2,344 m. The Widauersteig and Eggersteig are also quite attractive.
