Start in Going, Hüttling (840 m). The forest path 817 will take you to the Graspoint Niederalm (1,075 m) and continues as path 817 through the forest, past the Stiegenbach waterfall, to the branch, from where you will hike on the path 827 (Adlerweg) to the Obere Regalm (1,313 m). In the comfortable cottage below the south walls of the Regalpspitze, a special "breakfast on the mountain" organic buffet is offered every "dry" Wednesday with fresh, home-made farm bread and sausage from the farm's own Harass cattle. (Opened on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays & holidays) Well-strengthened, you can then set out on the Wilder-Kaiser path 827 with its great views across mountain meadows, along a steep climb up to the Brennender Palven (or Baumgartnerköpfl, 1,572 m). Magical views of the rock massif of the Wilder Kaiser to the North and the Kitzbühel Alps and Hohe Tauern to the South will reward you for your climb. This is where you will also find the famous mountaineer's grave where the "Koasamuch" found his last resting place. The famous mountaineer of the "Edelweiß guild", Much Wieser, born in Scheffau in 1888, supported summit logs on all Kaiser summits. The path 824 slopes down towards the West in the direction of the Gaudeamushütte (1,263 m), where the Leichtfried family offers tasty home-made pastry. Tired hikers' feet will also find the first comfortable place to spend the night right here at the foot of the Ellmauer Tor. If you continue on, follow the path 824/813 from here towards the Gruttenhütte via Klamml (approx. 1-1 ½ h). The narrow path, leading through the steep but fascinating Klamml is secured with a ladder and some iron brackets (good balance and freeness of vertigo are required! Attention: Danger of rock fall from the fixed-rope route!). Enjoy the fantastic view of the "Wildes Schloss", an impressive, legendary rock massif with towers, peaks, caves and balconies, and the Eastern summits of the Wilder Kaiser at the exit. After several turns, you will be able to spot the Gruttenhütte (1,620 m), the highest cottage in the Wilder Kaiser, with its beautiful sundeck and a view of the Ellmauer Halt - at 2,344 m the highest summit. When the sky is clear, you can enjoy fantastic views all the way to the Großvenediger and the pork roast from the wood-fired stove inside.

Advice for mountain enthusiasts: Klamml fixed-rope route

Advice for mountain enthusiasts: Klamml fixed-rope routeExperienced fixed-rope route climbers can take a special challenge here. Freeness of vertigo and some courage are required for the Klamml fixed-rope route. The fixed-rope route, set up entirely new in the autumn of 2013, is made up of two sections: the lower section in difficulty B/C, die upper one with parts at difficulty D and a spectacular 12 m long two-rope bridge connecting the two, ensure an adrenalin rush. (Use only with helmet, climbing harness and fixed-rope route set). For more details, see here.
