Kopfkraxen south wall "Blue Moon"

Alpine sport climbing route with enjoyable intersection

The compact rock quality, shot through with bands and troughs, as well as the easy climb down across the Wiesberg have turned the Kopfkraxen south wall into one of the most popular pleasure climbing destinations at the Wilder Kaiser. The "Blue Moon" is a beautiful alpine sport climbing route. With the intersection in its sixth rope length, it is one of the most beautiful ones in the Eastern Alps. The entrance can be reached in approx. 1 ½ - 2 hours from the Gasthof Jägerwirt in Scheffau.
