Picturesque mountain hike in to the quaint mountain village
The 18 kilometre hike from Hintersteiner lake up to the Stöfflhütte and Walleralm provides you a fantastic view in Söllleukental and the opposite side of the alpine world.An excellent breakfast is provided at both the apline huts at walleralm and Stöfflhütte that serve homemade products. You can look forward to freshly baked farmhouse bread, homemade cheese, home-brewed beer and much more.If you want to cool off or refresh yourself after or during the hike, there is a beach on the eastern shore of the Hintersteiner lake, whose naturalness is to be experienced.
From Hintersteiner See to the Walleralm
Picturesque mountain hike in the nature reserve of the Wilder Kaiser. From the turquoise blue waters of the most beautiful mountain lake in Tyrol up to the ancient mountain village. To homemade cheese, beer and freshly baked farmhouse bread.On this tour you can rejuvenate yourself completely. You can take a dip in the crystal clear lake, enjoy a delicious feast in the inn and on the alpine pastures and admire mountain flowers and take a look at the natural paradise. From Scheffau village square follow the street to the Hintersteiner lake, then turn right at the first fork towards the direction of Chalet Hotel Leitenhof. Here the forest track (no. 41) leads to the street, then turn left on AV 822; after a few minutes, you will see a forest trail branching off to the right. Follow this path and you will see an asphalt road leading across the Steiner and Beinstingl inns to Bärnstatt inn, near the St. Leonhard chapel. Further this path leads to Hintersteiner lake, on Seestüberl, and then turns left through the parking lot and the lake route through the woods on the south side. After arriving at the snack bar Maier move on to Walleralm. The idyllic Almweiler invite you to same-named Hütte and Stöfflhütte. The path goes back through a narrow forest path (no. 45a) to Seestüberl. Follow the road to Bärnstatt for a short distance, and very soon you reach the romantic Seebachgraben. Turn to your left at Cafe Rosemarie to reach the place once again.
