From the North to the Ellmauer Tor
Coming from the North, the Eggersteig (partially secured with steel ropes) leads through the Steinerne Rinne to the impressive Ellmauer Tor. Experience the powerful rock walls of the Fleischbank and Predigtstuhl up close and enjoy the fantastic view from the Ellmauer Tor South towards the main Alpine ridge. Advice: climb up further to the Hinterer Goinger Halt, 2,192 m Advice: climb down to the South through the Ellmauer Tor and on the Anniversary Path with its inspiring landscape to the Gruttenhütte or through the Kübelkar to the Gaudeamushütte and on into the valley to Ellmau. You can reach the start of the route within approx. 1 hour from the Griesner Alm. Safe stepping and particularly freeness of vertigo are mandatory! Recommendation: HELMET and for inexperienced climbers also a climbing belt & fixed-rope route set.
