Requirements for tourists entering Austria

When Austria opened its borders to tourists on 19 May, new entry regulations came into force. People entering Austria from abroad no longer need to quarantine. Instead, they must present evidence of having been vaccinated, a negative Covid-19 test or evidence of having recovered from a proven infection with the coronavirus. The specific requirements vary depending on your country of origin.

o Green/yellow/orange: free entry
o Red: No quarantine for people who have been vaccinated, tested or have recovered from Covid-19
o Dark red: Entry only for people who have been vaccinated, tested or have recovered from Covid-19 plus quarantine (test to release after 5 days)

NOTE: Even though quarantine requirements are no longer in place, you still need to register before entering Austria! Click here to register online.
