Village & Tyrolean Evenings in the Wilder Kaiser region
To ensure that guests also become friends and get to know the Tyrolean culture through music, dance and sampling of culinary delights and products from the region, in summer, village evenings are organised every week in different parts of Wilder Kaiser - each of them having their own individual character and atmosphere. Ellmau's Summer Night invites you to stroll around the village every Tuesday evening, with live music and many market stalls. On Wednesdays at Söll's Z'sammkemma (Get Together) the centre of the village is the place where traditional costume groups perform. Scheffau's Village Evening on Thursday nights features the local brass band with an open air concert. At five on Friday evenings the traditional Handicraft Market in Going at the idyllic church square is the place to experience old crafts, tasty treats and live folk music, rounded off with the 'Kirchtags' festival in September.
Tyrolean evening at Wilden Kaiser
The Wilder Kaiser region is located in the rear of the alps, where tradition and customs can be experienced live. Hence the sense of home is shared along with the guest in order to experience a piece of real Tirol. And this is not just applicable to the plays conducted by the local theater groups of the Kaiser towns such as Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll. For anyone eager to gain an appreciation of Tyrolean lowlander natural wit and maybe even pick up a few dialect words, a trip to one of the four local theatres - Volksbühne Ellmau, Heimatbühne Going, Scheffauer Heimatbühne, or an evening with D'Söller Theaterleit is heartily recommended!
