Tirolean World of Bees on Wilder Kaiser

Audience with the queen
Do you know how many miles you would have to drive to equal the mileage flown by a bee in a single day? That the number of truck loads of pollen a bee transports in its life is proportionate to its weight? The heating and cooling performance a swarm of bees generates daily to keep the temperature in the hive constant, and how many houses could be heated if the beehive were a heating plant? Heinrich Hüttner knows the answers to these questions and everything worth knowing about bees! In his 400-year old farm in Söll in the Wilder Kaiser region, the passionate beekeeper has a bee air resort (apitherapy), a museum and an area for experiencing beekeeping first hand. There, guests and leisure-seekers can experience everything to do with the daily work of the beekeeper, nature, the world of plants and the healing power contained in apitherapy and bee products.

Beekeeping and natural healing
Honey is a healthy way to sweeten up life. And there are many more bee products that contribute to wellness, such as bee air. Heinrich Hüttner’s apitherapy resort offers relaxation and strengthens the immune system. Wellness products can also be found in the shop, ranging from numerous types of honey, Propolis drops, Royal Jelly, beeswax and honey-based care products for beauty, to honey beer and sweet chocolate bees. Busy bees amongst the visitors can also attend workshops on topics such as wax pouring, wax pulling and natural healing, which round off the “World of Bees Experience”.
