In the spring of 2010 electric bicycles found their way to the Wilder Kaiser: The so-called Pedelecs – electric bicycles – can be hired in the region. With these bikes it is easy to explore the landscape in a gentle and comfortable way.
What is Pedelec? It is an electric bicycle - which enables you to easily conquer long routes and uphill trails with your own power and using clever technology. As long as your own strength allows, you can pedal yourself. If it gets too steep the electric motor provides additional power. That way you stay mobile even in the mountainous Wilder Kaiser region, and can enjoy being out and about in an environmentally friendly way. |

These state-of-the-art bicycles are not to be confused with the outmoded technology of e-mopeds. The motor does not produce irritating noises and assists with your own pedalling. The power output can be adjusted to three different levels. A charged battery lasts for 40 to 60 kilometres. Should you require “new power” you can recharge the battery at the region’s charging stations. Since the so-called “Swiss-Flyer” by Movelo is also offered in the neighbouring regions, you can enjoy unlimited environmentally friendly cycling fun on your Pedelec in the Wilder Kaiser region, in and around the Kitzbühel Alps in the summer of 2010.
