Breakfast on the mountain

Even though breakfast at your hotel is sure to be delicious, it really is well worth heading up to a genuine Tyrolean Alm, or mountain hut, for breakfast at least once during your stay at the Wilder Kaiser. A total of 20 huts in the area offer this very special experience in the mountains. “Breakfast on the Mountain” means enjoying regional and organic products together in a unique ambience. Look forward to plenty of homemade delicacies including crusty farm bread, cheese spreads with Alpine herbs and apricot jam.

Brenner Alm
Every Sunday, buffet with hearty white sausage breakfast, breakfast menu with small to large options. The Brenneralm also has its own chapel

Gruttenhütte
Sumptuous Alpine hut breakfast, sunrise breakfast from 6 am (min. 10 persons, and you must call to book the day before), homemade roast pork straight from the wood oven.

Panoramarestaurant Bergkaiser
Milk and cheese products straight from the mountain farms, the magical world of Ellmi's Zauberwelt- 4000 m² children's park with a mystical fantasy world, wood carving hut, petting zoo, climbing castle and much more.

Riedlhütte
Tip: Breakfast “kaiserschmarrn” (pancake speciality), ideal destination for a family hike.

Rübezahl-Alm
Tip: hot or cold breakfast, Tyrolean specialities, company outings, birthday parties, weddings…

Wochenbrunner Alm
Tip: Game enclosure with deer right next to the hut, panoramic terrace, Ellmau Stone Circle (30 minute walk away)

Upper Regalm
Tip: Breakfast-brunch every Wednesday with homemade delicacies using organic produce from the local area (reservations requested); SAT, SUN and on public holidays, breakfast platter with drink until 11.30 am

Bergrestaurant Brandstadl
Tip: Mountain brunch (2-3 times in the summer), produce direct from the farms, filled hiking backpack, KaiserWelt – park with the Kaiserwald woods, tree houses, slides etc.

Pasture Hinterschiesslinger Alm
Tip: Home-produced Angus beef products (sausages and speck), homemade cakes, jams, butter and crusty farm bread

Stöfflhütte
Tip: Stöfflbier – home brewed, homemade bread, butter and cheese, “Frühschoppen” (morning pint with traditional live music) every first Sunday in the month

Tanzbodenalm
Tip: Hut breakfast, children’s breakfast with filled pancakes, fresh Alpine milk, farm honey, homemade bread and cakes, right by the KaiserWelt Scheffau

Walleralm
Tip: Walleralm breakfast with sausage, cheese, butter, jam etc.

Alpengasthof Gruberhof
Tip: Nostalgia breakfast with tractor ride, organic shop, homemade schnapps and liqueurs, bread, jams, sunrise breakfast also available with tractor ride, on request.

Tip: Fresh trout from the hut’s own mountain pond, dairy chapel

Tip: Homemade smoked trout – Large children’s play area with the “Kinderexpress”, “Hexenhäusl” and other unusual toys.

Gipfelrestaurant Hohe Salve
Tip: Homemade products (spread, farm bread and “Ziachkiachl” – doughnut speciality), Austria’s first revolving terrace with panoramic views, sun dial path, Salvenriese (Salve giant) play area, panoramic toilets with incredible one-way views

Stöcklalm
Tip: Grain milling in the original flour mill and bread baking in the wood stove, at 11 am every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, weather permitting.

Blattlalm
delicious pancakes with fresh cow's milk, homemade pies, daily fresh buttermilk and products from our farm

Jägerhütte
Tip:breakfast on the mountain, weather its hearty, sweet, warm or mixed, it will be served on a typical Tyrolean platter. Tyrolean meals, salad platters, homemade cakes; breakfast on the mountain daily from 9am until 11am.

Kaiseralm
Excellent starting point for many family-friendly alpine hikes, mountain peak adventures, climbing and mountain biking routes
